Grand Falls One of the main things to do in Joplin is visiting Grand Falls. A large portion of the trail is paved, and we were never able to escape the noise from I44. There were a few places along the way that were scenic, the creek/river that runs along side the trails was very pretty however no matter how far we went we never felt we were in the wilderness or in nature. The gentlemen at the desk was very helpful in providing a map and where to walk to get the full 4 miles in. Honestly when we drove up in looked abandoned however, we then seen signs that explained it was undergoing a restoration. We were in Joplin over a weekend and wanted to get in a good hike. ![]()
